Our mission is to educate ourselves and the congregation about organizations meeting social needs in our area and to lend support to groups already doing vital work in our community. We also reach out directly or invite the community in to our spaces for social activities such as Chair Yoga.

Outreach 2023 Annual Report
Guest speakers: We have begun to invite representatives from local service agencies to explain their programs during part of our monthly Zoom meetings. We heard from Goodwin Community Health and the new Wellpoint Rochester drop-in center serving young people. We also discussed Life-Bridge, a NH non-profit mentoring program for students who need an extra “trusted adult” in their lives.
Estephanie Reynosa is our Safe-Passage sponsored child; We were excited to have an administrator from Guatemala speak at a service to explain more about the program.
The Dover Police Department offered a program describing their staffing and approach to houseless individuals and encampments. Several of our members attended.
Announcements and ENews articles explained the mission of these organizations to the parish.
Next year, guest speakers are planned to speak during services from time to time.
Ongoing support: Mutual Aid Relief Fund (Marf) operates a free store for the homeless and others on our lawn during Dover Friendly Kitchen hours on Tuesdays. Our members let the congregation know of preferred donations throughout the year and delivers items to the “store”.
Dover Food Pantry donations are collected in a basket at the rear of the church and are delivered to 1 Silver Street for distribution.
Outreach chooses the recipient of the quarterly proceeds of the Mission Box (located at the steps of the choir.) Parishioners’ donations are supplemented by all the offerings from the Chair Yoga class each week.

Jan-Mar “Share the Warmth” CAP Community Action Partners heating fund
Apr-Jun “Summer Grab ’n Go”, supplemental food program
Jul-Sep “Christmas in July” Diocesan Convention delivery of gifts for the children of incarcerated parents (Chips).
Oct-Dec Gift card collection for Dover Middle School families in need of extra support
Mid-Dec.-end of 2023 to Rector’s Discretionary Fund
Seasonal Drives:
In Advent, our Children’s PJ drive for the Dover Housing Authority’s Osman Center collected 130 pairs.
In Lent “Stock the School” drive for the Nurse’s Closets at Dover’s Horne St. and Woodman Park Grammar Schools collected 222 pairs of underwear and 49 pairs of pants.
Caroling sing-alongs with the “Joyful Noise”
A joint project with Pastoral Care committee, Catherine and Bill Langellotti led an ad hoc ensemble “Joyful Noise” made up of any parishioners and friends who were able to sing on any given day. We performed for a total of 71singer/hours leading familiar carols at eight Assisted Living facilities in our area over the course of several days in early Dec. with the final stop on Jan. 2. Sites were selected as being residences or workplaces of a parishioner, plus two others. It was so well received by all concerned that we plan to make this an annual Advent series.
